Argentina
The southern winter opens in June and the longest seasons run into October, at Cerro Castor in the far south and on the Chilean volcanoes. Around Bariloche the reliable window is shorter: July to mid-September.
United States & Canada
Most Rockies resorts open in November and run to April; Whistler holds snow into May.
The Alps & the Dolomites
The Alpine season opens in December and runs to April, with the Dolomites usually closing in late March.
