Megève was created in 1916 by the Baroness de Rothschild as a French alternative to St. Moritz, and it has never lost its original elegance. The village is arguably the most beautiful in the French Alps, the food culture is extraordinary (Emmanuel Renaut's Flocons de Sel has three Michelin stars), and the Four Seasons is a superb base.
