Private Ski Instruction
Independent, vetted instructors matched to your group before you land.
Ask about thisWhat this is
The instructor makes or breaks a ski week, and the difference is rarely technical: it is whether the person in front of your group reads the level correctly on the first run and adjusts. We work with independent instructors we know personally, and we brief them on your group before you arrive.
We work exclusively with independent, vetted instructors — not resort staff pools. Each instructor is selected based on teaching style, language, and terrain expertise. We match them to your group before you land, so day one begins on the mountain, not in a queue.
Includes
- Instructors across Patagonia, North America and the Alps
- All levels: first-timers to advanced off-piste
- Multi-day and full-season packages
- Multilingual instructors (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian)
- Child-specialist instructors on request
How it works
From your brief to the mountain.
- 01
You tell us the group
Ages, levels, languages and what a good ski day looks like for each person.
- 02
We match the instructor
Chosen for teaching style and terrain, not by whoever is next in the rota.
- 03
We brief them beforehand
They know the group before the first lift, so no morning is spent assessing.
- 04
We adjust mid-week
If the fit is wrong or the conditions change, we change the plan.

The same service, on the mountains we know best. Every ski area has a page with what to expect there.

Private Ski Instruction, in practice.
Can the whole family ski with one instructor?
Often yes, if the levels are close enough. When they are not, splitting for the mornings and skiing together after lunch usually works better than compromising all day.
Do you arrange lessons for complete beginners?
Yes. For a first trip we also suggest the resorts where beginner terrain is genuinely separate, which changes the first days completely.
Are the instructors employed by Patagonia Living?
No. They are independent professionals. We select, brief and coordinate them as part of your trip.
